Mariam M. Bodagh started Hope Consultation after spending years inside labs and clinics, watching them struggle with the same problems over and over. She built the tools and the team she wished had existed when she was on the inside.

“I watched labs and clinics struggle every day — with inspections they weren't prepared for, with billing they couldn't control, and with systems that were never built for them. I didn't want to just consult. I wanted to build the tools that would change the game entirely. That's why Hope Consultation, LabComply.net, and HopeRCM.com exist — to give every lab the power to thrive, not just survive.”
Mariam has spent more than a decade in healthcare, with over eight years working directly inside medical laboratories. She has managed CLIA and CAP inspections, built toxicology programs, untangled billing cycles, and led operational turnarounds. She knows this work from the inside, not from a textbook.
She saw how billing complexity and compliance requirements were quietly draining resources from labs and clinics that were doing excellent clinical work. That frustration became the foundation for Hope Consultation, HopeRCM.com, and LabComply.net.
Beyond healthcare, she is the author of The Unbroken Bloom — a personal account of resilience and growth that reflects the same values she brings to her work in healthcare.

Running a medical laboratory or clinic is genuinely hard. The regulatory requirements are dense, the billing is complicated, and the stakes are high because real patients depend on the results. For years, the support available to these facilities was scattered across consultants who had never actually worked inside a lab, software that was not built for clinical workflows, and billing services that treated lab claims like any other healthcare claim.
Hope Consultation was founded to change that. Our team has worked inside CLIA, CAP, and COLA-accredited laboratories. We have prepared for inspections, written the SOPs, trained the staff, and fixed the billing. When we advise a client, we are drawing on direct experience, not general healthcare consulting principles applied to a lab setting.
We watched laboratories go into inspections with binders that had not been updated in two years, SOPs that did not match what staff were actually doing, and no clear picture of where their gaps were. The problem was not that labs did not care about compliance. It was that they had no practical system to stay on top of it. We built LabComply.net to solve that. It keeps your SOPs current, tracks quality control, runs mock inspections, and gives you a live readiness score so you always know where you stand. Compliance becomes something you manage continuously rather than scramble for when an inspection is announced.
Explore LabComply.net →Lab billing is genuinely different from general medical billing. The codes are specific, the payer rules vary, and the denial patterns are predictable once you know what to look for. Most labs were losing significant revenue not because they were doing anything wrong clinically, but because the billing side was not optimized. We built HopeRCM.com to address that directly. It uses AI to handle claims submission, catch coding errors before submission, and manage denials automatically, with our billing team reviewing every claim. Labs that come to us typically recover revenue they did not know they were losing.
Explore HopeRCM.com →Together, Hope Consultation, LabComply.net, and HopeRCM.com cover the full picture: the consulting expertise to guide your decisions, the compliance platform to keep you inspection-ready, and the billing technology to make sure you get paid for the work you do. Most of our clients start with one of these and end up using all three, because the problems are connected.
To give physician offices, clinics, and medical laboratories the expertise and tools they need to run compliant, efficient, and financially healthy operations, so they can focus on patient care without the administrative weight holding them back.
To build the most trusted name in medical laboratory consulting by consistently delivering results that matter: labs that pass inspections, billing that gets paid, and clients who feel genuinely supported.
Our team has worked in clinical laboratories at the bench level. We understand the science behind the tests, the instruments behind the results, and the regulatory requirements that govern both. That depth matters when we are advising on method validation, QC protocols, or inspection preparation.
More than a decade working inside COLA, CAP, and CLIA-accredited laboratories means we know what inspectors actually look for, not just what the checklist says. We have been through enough inspections to know where the real risks are and how to address them before they become findings.
We have managed laboratory operations, trained staff, redesigned workflows, and worked through the kinds of problems that do not appear in any manual. When we make a recommendation, it is grounded in what we have seen work in real labs, not what looks good on paper.
Our specialty areas include toxicology, immunology, PCR and molecular testing, blood testing, and microbiology. These are among the most regulated and technically demanding areas of laboratory medicine, and they are where our experience runs deepest.
Our team has worked in laboratories like yours. We know what it feels like to have an inspector walk through the door, to have a critical instrument go down mid-shift, and to be responsible for results that directly affect patient care. That experience shapes every recommendation we make.
We give you solutions that work in your specific environment, with your staff, your equipment, and your budget. There is no standard template we apply to every client. Every engagement starts with understanding what is actually happening in your lab before we recommend anything.
We work with clients at every stage, from opening a new physician office lab to preparing an established reference lab for a CAP re-accreditation. Some clients need us for a specific project. Others keep us on for ongoing support. Either way, our goal is the same: make sure your lab is running well and you are not worrying about compliance or billing.
CLIA requirements change. CAP standards get updated. Payer policies shift. We track all of it so our clients do not have to. When something changes that affects your lab, we let you know and help you adapt before it becomes a problem.
Every lab and clinic we work with is different. Our approach is to understand your specific situation first, then build a plan that fits your team, your timeline, and your goals.
We start every engagement by listening. Your situation is not the same as the last client we worked with, and our approach should not be either.
We work with your team, not around them. Our goal is to leave your staff more capable than when we arrived, not dependent on us for every decision.
We measure our work by what changes in your lab: inspection results, collection rates, turnaround times, staff competency. Those are the numbers that matter.
We work with physicians opening their first in-house lab, established laboratories preparing for accreditation, and clinics trying to recover revenue they have been losing for years. The situations are different, but the commitment is the same: we stay with you until the problem is solved and you have what you need to keep it that way.
If you are ready to talk about what your lab or clinic needs, we are ready to listen.
